World of Warcraft Item Upgrades
The upgrading of your items is a crucial aspect of equipping your character. Upgrades increase the base damage and enhancements of items.

The upgrade button can be found on any item. Every item recycled adds level to the gauge of upgrade.
Weapons
When a weapon is upgraded, it gains a base damage bonus and a scaling factor that can affect other stats. The weapon may also gain a variety of upgrade components that provide additional features or effects as well as distinct cosmetic effects. These upgrades can be added to armors, weapons, trinkets and gathering tools. The majority of them require that the equipment has an upgrade slot and meet certain specifications. The upgrade component can be removed from a weapon, armor, or trinket, but it cannot be replaced. (Except for legendary equipment). Upgrade components can be found using a Black Lion Salvage Kit or Ascended Salvage Tool, or by using a high-tier salvage tool on the item it self.
A weapon can also be upgraded to include a calibration attribute that boosts certain stats, like Weakspot damage or Crit Rate. This can be done via the Gear Workbench interaction menu. Based on the tier of the weapon, this can be done up to four times.
Once the weapon has reached max upgrade, it can be reforged using a variety of different upgrade types to improve certain stats or add bonuses and effects. These upgrades can be used simultaneously and the effects vary depending on how rare the weapon is.
Two Blacksmiths are able to perform these upgrades in the game: Blacksmith Iji on the Road to the Manor Site of Grace and Smithing Master Hewg at the Church of Elleh hub. Both require different upgrade materials: Smithing Stones for standard weapons and Somber Smithing Stones to alter the kind of damage that a weapon inflicts.
It is generally recommended to increase the damage of your weapon first, followed by armour defense, and then the other secondary stats that are required by your build. It is not uncommon to see melee Druids upgrade their weapons before upgrading any other equipment. This helps maximize DPS. item upgrading is particularly relevant for enchantments that boost a weapon's stats and damage.
Armor
Item Upgrades let players enhance the stats of certain armors, weapons, trinkets, and gathering tools. These upgrades can also bring additional effects, for example, more damage or a cosmetic enhancement. Item upgrades can be obtained by crafting, purchasing from NPC vendors, in loot drops or as rewards from quests.
Armor can be upgraded by visiting the Armorer NPC and spending appropriate currencies. Most armor upgrades to the next level after an upgrade. Most armor types are upgradeable, however some items (such as the starter armour found in Great Sky Island) cannot.
The majority of armor upgrades boost the strength or defense of an item by a small amount. However, certain upgrade components can give significant improvements in defense or strength, particularly when upgrading an epic item.
Certain upgrades grant special abilities which can be activated while wearing armor. These abilities can be very useful in combat. For example, they can boost the speed of attack or block. Some upgrades have passive effects that can be beneficial for example, the ability to reduce damage while wearing armor, or increasing the chance of avoiding an attack.
Upgrades to armor can require multiple attempts, depending on the type. If a player wants to upgrade Steelclash armor to Dragonscale and the first attempt will result in a new Dragonscale armor with the defense base ranging from 59 to 67. The second attempt will result in a brand new Dragonscale armor with a base defense between 67-77, and the list goes on.
The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild lets players upgrade their armor sets to level 4. To do this it is necessary to visit each of the four locations referred to as Great Fairy Fountains in the game. Each location has a fair with a great power that can change the quality of an item of armor for you.
Contrary to popular opinion, armor in The Division 2 is not useless. The fact of the matter is that some armors come with very substantial boosts to poison, curse, fire or magic damage reduction, making them very useful for certain builds. There are many other ways to improve armor stats besides upgrading the armor, for instance using the engineer attribute to increase armor penetration or the challenger to reduce total weight.
Potion
A potion can be upgraded by putting it in an brewing stand in order to unlock new effects. The upgrade opens a different level of effects from the potion and can be re-used to unlock more potencies.
The potions also have the ability to select a custom color that can be selected by the player using the /give. The color will affect the clouds that affect the area of effect as well as the arrows generated. In Bedrock Edition the custom potion color is also applied to the particle effects of the potions.
The water bottle, a common, thick and awkward potions now have a brand new texture for brewing. Add potion of weakness and potion of healing in Creative inventory. Trinket
A trinket could be an ornament that is small and inexpensive or piece of jewelry. It can be a ring or necklace. It could also be a small banner to mark the yard of a lateen boat. It could also refer to an gilded trinket fixed to the mast of a boat.
This macabre trinket appears to be influencing the residents of this maze by making them more common. This trinket, at its current level makes all types Xx of mimics more common and gives each floor an Y% chance that it has an ebony copy. Upgrades to this trinket require a moderate amount energy.
The enchanted Scepter's magic appears to alter the dungeon's environment and increase the likelihood of producing water and grass. This trinket at the current level, will cause X% of regular floors to be filled with grass or water. It does not affect enchantments, glyphs, cursed armor or weapons, or items that are produced to solve danger rooms.
While it appears like a normal newt's eye, this mysterious object appears to be affecting your vision in ways beyond just reducing your field view. This trinket, in its current level, boosts the health benefits gained from drinking healing potion and wells of life by X% and also gives mind sight to enemies within the Y tile. This is not a stacking feature with the Heightened Senses.
After you have completed the Mastery Cave, you can find Trinkets by beating Monsters and inside chests and crates within Skull Cavern. They are not in the Mines or Volcano Dungeon.
When you find a trinket that requires upgrading put it in the Anvil to upgrade it. This will create an unpredictable effect on the trinket either increasing its duration or enhancing its effects. You can reuse the trinket as often as you'd like but it will always be able to produce an effect that is new.
You can also upgrade your Trinkets by placing them in a Magical Catalyst located at the Alchemy Station. This will cost 6 energy, however it will increase the trinkets power by a tiny amount.
