What is an Item Upgrader in Pokemon Go?

The item upgrader is an additional widget to the top of both the Angel and Cash Upgrade Windows. This Manager is priced at 33 billion Angel Investors and offers no gaming benefit other than making it easier to view and purchase upgrades.
Boosters
With an upgrader for your item you will be able to enjoy a number of bonuses. These can include a variety of stats, in addition to many additional bonuses. These bonuses can be incorporated into weapons or armor, as well as trinkets. They can be used to improve the abilities of a character, or they can add an additional aspect of variety to the build.
The upgrade system in World of Warcraft allows players to increase the quality of their gear by spending currencies at an item upgrader NPC. When an item is improved, its base type will change. When upgrading a normal item, it will create an Exceptional item, while upgrading an Exceptional item will create an Elite version of the same base item. The item will keep all of its pre-upgrade statistics however it will also get an additional bonus from its new base type. This bonus will be randomly selected from the following: the chance to acquire weapons with a higher damage range and a chance to gain an enhanced reload speed or a chance to gain an increased defense roll.
The number of upgrades you do will determine the amount of extras you will receive. Each upgrade will increase the number of extras by up to 3 points. Additionally, each upgrade will also boost the main stat by one.
Certain upgrades also give an additional random boost in addition to stat enhancements. These secondary boosts can be extremely valuable and must be considered when choosing which items to upgrade. Certain of these boosts may only be used in certain designs (such the Whistan's Shield in FB Sorcs) Some are valuable to collectors.
Certain items come with inherent boos that are less useful when upgraded, like the Goldwrap that gives you additional slots for potion. They are often upgraded to add value to a nearly perfect item.
Costs
There are a few costs associated with item upgrades. The first is the cost for the upgrade. The cost is based on the new ilvl of the item and the amount of perks it receives and is often expensive. It can also be costly to upgrade an item to a better tier (such as Explorer > Champion or Veteran > Heroic).
The other is the cost of materials required to upgrade. These items are usually Power Dices (dropped from monsters 21+), Minerals and Erons or specific Mists of Pandaria or Warlords Of Draenor Quests. The amount of these materials required can be seen in the inventory of an upgrade vendor.
Upgrading an item is complicated and requires time. Based on the magnitude of the upgrade, it could take as long as 8 hours. The base stats of the upgraded item are calculated based upon its new ilvl and other properties. This calculation determines the updated Armor Class bonus, damage dice, and other important statistics. In some instances an upgrade may grant additional benefits. These perks are available in a list.
In rare instances the upgrade will replace only the highest-costing perks. The upgrader may also make other adjustments to the item, such as changing its weapon damage type or eliminating an operational or unwieldy option. The cost for these changes is determined by the item's new ilvl, and it may require a special material like an adamantine alloy.
Success Rate
Upgrades to items are based on a chance, and like every random system, there's a chance that the upgrade will fail. However there are a few things that can help to increase the chances of success. These include the use of an item dubbed an Upgrade Pity or the addition of additional items to the upgrade.
An Upgrade Pity is an item you can buy from the smithing NPC in Lost Ark. It increases the chance of an upgrade succeeding by a certain percentage. It is similar to the "luck bonus" that some items provide however it is more solid. It can be added to any armor or weapon and is able to be used up to three times.
It is also possible to add a variety of additional materials to the upgrade, increasing its chance of success. These are shown in a separate window, above the + button. There are a few limitations. The maximum amount of material you can add is displayed directly above the + button.
Another method to increase the chances of an upgrade succeeding is to use an item called a Blacksmith Blessing or an upgraded version of it. This item is beneficial if you have an item of equipment that has reached the highest level for its tier, or is close to it. This item lets you upgrade the equipment to the next level without the risk of breaking.
If an upgrade is unsuccessful the system will be returned to its original condition. This is usually a downgrade, but could also be an upgrade. Keep an upgrade in reserve until you reach the maximum level for an item.
There are many items in the Kafra shop that can be used to improve the chances of an upgrade succeeding. For example upgrading an equipment using HD Oridecon or HD Elunium multiple times will provide you with a higher chance of success. In the same way, increasing the likelihood to receive a Double Mint from Shoe-Minting a maximum of five times will also increase the success rate.
Failure Rate
The upgrader for items allows players to add a second slot to their equipment. The slots can be used to upgrade an item or apply an enchantment. It is important to remember that not all items are upgradeable. The rank of an item will determine the speed at which it can be upgraded and enchanted. The higher the rank, the more zen and items you'll require to upgrade it.
This system can be quite expensive, particularly for top-of-the-line equipment. It can cost upwards of 100,000 Z and 100 Carnium to upgrade an armor or weapon. The rate of success decreases as you progress in rank. However, you can use cash shop items to increase your chances of upgrading your item successfully.
Normal Upgrade is a standard upgrade that can be applied to weapons, armor and bikes. It uses different grades of core, depending on the type of item. In general, lower quality items require cheaper cores while higher-grade ones require more expensive cores.
You must have the proper number of cores to do an upgrade. Click the button next the item you'd like to upgrade once you have the cores. The upgrade window will display a percentage indicator of your success chances. The percentage is based on the upgrade level of the item and the core type you have selected.
You can also select a safeguard for your item which will safeguard the item in case of failure. The cost of this protection can vary, but it will always be less than the cost of buying a new item. The safeguard can be used once per upgrade, and it is not a valid expiry date unless it is re-used.
The UI for the item upgrader may be somewhat confusing, but it is not difficult to navigate. The main menu is located on the left and the upgrade window is displayed on the right. The arrows to the left of the UI represent the various phases of the upgrade process. If you're not certain what you're doing, you can use the question mark icon for help. The upgrade process can take anywhere from five to ten minutes.
