Guild Wars 2 Item Upgrade
Item upgrade, also called "upping," improves an item's stats. Each upgrade increment boosts the stat linearly.
Players can recycle up to six items at once to gain an ability to gauge the level of each of the upgraded components. The cost of recycling a piece of equipment increases depending on their rarity and level.
Upgrade components
An upgrade for an item in Guild Wars 2 is a process that can increase the effectiveness of your weapons and armor. This can be achieved through many different methods, including using upgrade components as well as upgrading an item's mark levels or rarity. In addition there are many items that can be reforged, which can increase their stats.
You can purchase upgradeable items throughout the game. They are available all over the world as well as rewards for missions. Players can also make them. Upgrade components are the main way to upgrade equipment. These are items that can slot into equipment. The majority of equipment comes with upgrade slots, and the majority require a certain upgrade level. Certain upgrade components provide specific bonuses, while others offer an overall bonus.
There are a variety of upgrade components available in the game, including universal upgrades, inscriptions, and jewels. The universal upgrades, such as gemstones and enchantments, can be placed on any equipment and provide smaller bonuses than upgrades that are specific to equipment. Glyphs are only available in gathering tools, and provide numerous benefits, from increasing the speed of the item's collection to providing additional crafting materials.
To upgrade an item, click it from your inventory and open the Upgrade window. The preview will be displayed on the right side of the screen. It will show the expected stats following the upgrade. The Upgrade button at the bottom will be labeled as blocked if you don't have enough of or.
The upper-right corner displays the number of upgrade components needed for a particular item. The cost of upgrading increases with the upgrade level and rarity, but it can be reduced using a variety of methods, including purchasing upgrades from a vendor or trading them to other players.
The majority of weapons can be upgraded by adding a prefix, like a rune or an insignia. Other weapons can be enhanced by adding a suffix. These upgrades add an adjective to the item's name like "Radiant" or "Minor Vigor".
Glyphs
Glyphs can be used to convey information via visuals. They move to catch the attention of the viewers and trigger curiosity in the brain. The glyphs' animation mimics body language, making them even more effective at conveying messages across language barriers. Glyphs can also increase the recall of a message by evoking an emotional connection in the brain.
Each glyph can increase the value of a stat by a certain amount. This is clearly displayed on the item's page when you open it in the Glyph Storage. This range is not the actual amount by which the glyph will increase a stat, but the maximum amount by which it can do so. The value of the glyph depends on the tier and the quality of the product you are in awe of.
Most upgrade components slotted into items are not able to be repaired or replaced without dismantling the gear in question, with the exception of legendary equipment and upgrades. If you have a glyph or rune you do not want to use, but it hasn't been applied to the gear yet, you can move the item to another piece by selecting the Upgrade Glyphs menu within the Glyphs Panel. This will create a Glyph Set that includes the selected glyph.

You can take out the glyph using the Black Lion Salvage Kit, or an Ascended Salvage tool. This will cause the item to be destroyed that it was installed in however, you can salvage the upgraded item with the glyph and its fragments, therefore, it shouldn't be considered as a loss.
Adding a glyph to an item could cause it to be unstable, and the shards that are left of that glyph will disappear from your inventory when you remove the item. You can also add an inscription to your equipment to increase its value. Deferred Damage, for example can store damage, and then be dealt out slowly to the wearer instead of all at once. This is beneficial for those who take many hits from enemies however do not want to be overwhelmed.
Reroll tokens
Reroll tokens let players alter the affixes they use on their equipment and weapons, and they can be obtained in various ways like mistery boxes or as an uncommon drop from skulled creatures, or by killing bosses. Each reroll token grants the player a new random affix, which is usually superior to the original. Reroll tokens can also be used to improve the weapon's stats to increase damage or bonuses.
Rerolled items are not listed in the menu of upgrade options, but they can still be upgraded. If you click the "upgrade button", you can recycle the rerolled items. This will change the design of the item's window, and allow up to six items be chosen to recycle. Recycling an item can add a small amount of points to its gauge of level. The amount is determined by the item's rarity as well as its level, therefore items with higher levels are more useful to recycle than lower-level ones.
Players can also use Reroll Tokens and Star Remnants to reroll Weapon Traits for upgraded units. Rerolls roll the % chance of a particular weapon trait; if it rolls higher, the weapon is upgraded, and if it is lower, the weapon remains unchanged. Weapons can be upgraded up to three times.
Rerolls are a good option for upgrading an item, but players should be aware that it will reduce the overall ilvl the weapon based on the number of rerolls used to raise it to its final ilvl. This effect is most noticeable on rings and Diadems, since they have no other options to increase the ilvl.
The Reroll system has been criticized by players for being expensive, and it would be more equitable to let players pay for it using money or food items that allows them to change their build without a lot of time and effort. However the paid rerolls aren't something the developers are planning to incorporate at this point in the game's development. They plan to add an ingredient that allows players to change their race in the near future.
Leveling
There are many ways to upgrade an item. The first is to increase the amount of upgrade, which increases the value of an upgrade for any stat. The second option is to boost the effect of an upgrade, which can increase the damage or healing of an individual stat. The base item can be upgraded to an advanced upgrade type. The upgraded item will keep its iLevel, but will be upgraded to reflect the effects of the upgraded item.
When upgrading items it is essential to remember that upgrades are random. Most of the time, a higher roll is based on the glyphs. However, there are times when a more or unique roll can occur. The item type will also determine the iLevel. If item upgrader upgrade a rare or exclusive item to a unique kind of item, it has a chance of getting a higher level.
Upgrades can be costly particularly if you are upgrading gear from the standard track to the legendary. The cost will depend on the item's base iLevel and the amount of upgrade levels it comes with. Certain upgrade tracks require crests to be completed in order to move on to the next level.
If you're lucky the upgraded item will reach the maximum level on its upgrade track, and thus unlock an additional effect. This will provide a significant increase in the value of the item. The bonus effect will change with each upgrade level. Generally speaking the upgrade effect is increased by a number of +3.
The iLevel also changes according to the upgrade path and base level. For example, a weapon that is upgraded from a unique or rare to a rare or exceptional item will have a chance to gain the Enhanced Defense of the base type of item.
